Our Treasure Coast Mother’s Day Guide

🡣

The women in out lives deserve to be celebrated! If you’re in or around the Treasure Coast this Mother’s Day, you have more options than you may have realized. With Mother’s Day right around the corner, we wanted to share some of our ideas on how you can treat that special someone so they feel as loved as they are.

Brunch Time!

Start your morning off with a trip to our friends at Gilbert’s Coffee Bar for a specialty drink and small bites while you sit outside and enjoy good conversation and the views of the St. Lucie River in the Sunset Bay Marina.

A great brunch experience requires a little planning ahead.  There are many options for a Mother’s Day brunch. This year, we recommend enjoying the beautiful weather and some healthy farm-to-table cuisine. Newly opened with a beautiful back patio area complete with family-friendly activities and live music, CoLab Kitchen brings one of the best brunch experiences in town. Kyle G’s on the beach is another great spot for brunch with a beautiful view. Many restaurants around town are having Sunday brunch specials that can be a great time for you and your special someone.  These get booked up for Mother’s Day so call ahead!….seriously, stop reading this and call for a reservation now!

Have a Good Flower Game

Publix flowers are all fine and good, but we’d recommend stepping it up a little bit for this holiday.  Support a local florist.  Our favorite is A Goode Floorist in Stuart, who we often use when needing to spruce up a client’s new remodel or our showroom.  Their selection is outstanding, and you can order ahead of time for delivery all through their website or over the phone.

If you want to step up your flower game even more and keep her thinking of you all year, you can’t go wrong with Eternity Roses from Venus et Fleur. These are roses that can last over a year with no water!  You may have seen these in our showroom if you’ve stopped by recently.

Another option, that takes a little planning and getting your hands dirty, is planting some beautiful local roses and wildflowers for your special someone in their home garden.

Picnic or Take-out at Home

If going out to a restaurant isn’t on the menu, or you want something even more intimate, grab a blanket, cheeseboard, some wine and head out to the beach or a quiet park for some fresh air and good conversation.  Head to the beach or Flagler Park for a great place for a picnic, you can even stop by the Stuart Green Market between 9am and 2pm to help fill your picnic basket beforehand!

Our personal favorite for treats is Kilwins. You cannot go wrong with their signature seafoam and chocolate covered strawberries. Throw some chocolate treats in a small cooler to bring with you to your picnic!

If your Sunday is better spent at home, get her favorite morsels delivered with Postmates or Uber Eats or even go the DIY route and make her breakfast in bed!  Get the kids in on it and make it extra special and with some fresh Florida oranges and squeeze her some homemade orange juice.  Add some Prosecco and make her a Mimosa for even more fun!

Pamper Her

For the rest of the year, she is going to be on the move and taking care of herself and those around her.  Women love to look and feel good, so make self-care your treat to her on this day.

Pamper her.  Get her some lavender bath bombs, a good book, and a great scented candle to inspire her to relax and take a little “me time” when she has a moment. Whisk the kids away for a little play date during this time so she can have some quiet time.

Book a spa day for her and you.  You can make it a day at a local spa or a whole weekend at a resort.  For staying local, we recommend Rose & Rebeccas in Stuart for a unique day of rejuvenation.

Self-care spa gift sets are great gifts that she won’t typically get for herself.  Every girl loves a good moisturizing!

Dinner

A good dinner on Mother’s Day is a staple! If you want to treat her to a 5-star experience, we have some recommendations guaranteed to impress. Chef’s Table offers a quaint and cozy place with incredible food and amazing service.

District Table is one of our team’s favorites for any special occasion. If your special someone would enjoy a unique menu with fantastic wine and cocktails, this is the spot!

As with brunch, a good dinner date means you must make a reservations as early as possible, or plan to come early and enjoy the fabulous bar area while you wait for your table.

Don’t Forget the Card!

Turn up the sappy and cheesy!

Above all else, a heartfelt, handwritten card from you is the most important part of making her feel loved and appreciated.   Don’t buy a sappy card and just write “Happy Mother’s Day!” on it.  Put a little more effort into it, tell her how much she means to you and how thankful you are for her.  It will make her day!

Whatever role the women in your life have played, do a little something special for them this year.

Bonus!

We are a home design team so we would be remiss if we didn’t mention setting up a remodel project with her!  Believe it or not, we have helped several clients to surprise their loved ones with remodel projects, we can work with you to make that first sit down meeting extra special, whatever the occasion may be.

We take the stress out of the renovation part and will work closely with you and her to design her dream home.

Bonus points if you also plan an extended vacation during the construction phase!
